The EBO/Less Day Workshop The combined, 5-hour 'EBO'/'Less' day presentation, is an exploration of the relationship between economic growth, energy consumption, climate change, peak energy/peak oil and resource depletion. Over 5 hours (with a 1 hour break for lunch) we explore the issues raised in the 'Energy Beyond Oil' and 'Less is a Four-Letter Word' presentations at a slightly slower pace allowing more time for questions and discussion. The EBO/Less presentation is based upon the content of the 2-hour Energy Beyond Oil and Less presentations and on occasion will also include elements of the Energy and Food presentation too. The purpose of the day is to look at the inter-related issues of economic growth, energy consumption, climate change, peak energy/peak oil and resource depletion. The aim is to provide a more detailed understanding of the ecological limits that will restrict the options for the development of society in the future, and so allow the individual to envision a personal plan to change their own lifestyle to accommodate these difficulties. Background InformationThere is no information/slides produced specifically for the EBO/Less day workshop. Each event is an amalgam of the Energy Beyond Oil and Less is a Four Letter Word presentations (sometimes with elements of the Energy and Food presentation thrown in) designed to meet the needs/interests of the people/organisation commissioning the workshop. For further information and slides see the pages for each of the 2-hour presentation events: Organising an 'EBO/Less' Workshop
Note that, if you want a more limited evening event, there are also separate pages for the Energy Beyond Oil and Less presentations. These are designed as 2-hour events, and so provide less scope for exploration and discussion than the day-long combined workshop event. |
