The EBO/Less Day Workshop
the free range 'energy beyond oil' project

The combined, 5-hour 'EBO'/'Less' day presentation, is an exploration of the relationship between economic growth, energy consumption, climate change, peak energy/peak oil and resource depletion. Over 5 hours (with a 1 hour break for lunch) we explore the issues raised in the 'Energy Beyond Oil' and 'Less is a Four-Letter Word' presentations at a slightly slower pace – allowing more time for questions and discussion.

The EBO/Less presentation is based upon the content of the 2-hour Energy Beyond Oil and Less presentations – and on occasion will also include elements of the Energy and Food presentation too. The purpose of the day is to look at the inter-related issues of economic growth, energy consumption, climate change, peak energy/peak oil and resource depletion. The aim is to provide a more detailed understanding of the ecological limits that will restrict the options for the development of society in the future, and so allow the individual to envision a personal plan to change their own lifestyle to accommodate these difficulties.

Background Information

There is no information/slides produced specifically for the EBO/Less day workshop. Each event is an amalgam of the Energy Beyond Oil and Less is a Four Letter Word presentations (sometimes with elements of the Energy and Food presentation thrown in) designed to meet the needs/interests of the people/organisation commissioning the workshop.
