The EBO Presentation The 2-hour 'Energy Beyond Oil' (EBO) presentation is the basic, beginner's guide to the issues of energy consumption in the UK, climate change and and peak oil. Structured as a 2-hour long visual presentation and discussion, the event outlines the scale and complexity of the issues we face, within the UK, as the human species reaches the limits of the Earth's environment.
The Energy Beyond Oil presentation is based on a larger number of slides than it is feasible to display within the 2-hour time limit. The slides used vary from event to event, and are selected to meet the needs of the audience. Sometimes slides from the other short presentations (Less and Food) are also included. The 'virtual' presentation set up for viewing on the FRAW web site includes all the slides, but it's scope significantly extended by including with each section links to background information and EBO Project publications that relate to the content of each section.
Organising an 'Energy Beyond Oil' PresentationThe Energy Beyond Oil presentation has been developed over many presentations, held in homes, community halls, schools and universities since June 2002. It's the Free Range Network's basic 'introduction' to the issues of energy, climate change and resource depletion, and ideally precedes the more detailed content of the 'Less' presentations and the longer day/weekend workshops.
Note that there's also a separate EBO/Less day workshop event. This combines the Energy Beyond Oil and Less is a Four Letter Word presentations into a single 5 to 6 hour day workshop (which allows more time for discussions of the issues raised by the presentations). The EBO 'Virtual' Presentation
The slides are arranged into thematic sections. Within each section there are one or more slides. To navigate through the slides click on the image and the slide will advance to the next one. To navigate between sections click 'next' or 'previous'.
